As March and April closes 'cos of my part-time job ends in school, I have a month of May to enjoy while I can before.. LOL! :/ And I realize that I haven't been blogging for so freaking long.. So I just want to go through simply what has happened over this month in May. :D

#1. A trip down to Kuala Lumpur

I went to Kuala Lumpur in Malaysia during the start of May! I met the bloggers there and I had fun over the three days. With Yingzi along the trip it was easy 'cos she's familiar with all the transport and stuffs. <:

#2. My Graduation in Republic Polytechnic

Yes! Over six semesters of school in Republic Polytechnic, eight different classes that I had throughout the three years and an attachment that I wished I could score better with a commendation, I've finally graduated! :D And plus the fact that I was a Module Award winner makes me even more happy but it can't be achieved if not for my FYP team-mates too!

#3. Daniel's 21st BeSpec-tacular Birthday Party

Dumbellz a.k.a Daniel invited me to his 21st birthday party somewhere near Hillview and it was a short bus trip down, GREAT! :D I managed to catch up with him and also got to know @ruoxuan and @NurdiyanaYanYan on Twitter, awesome peepz! And not forgetting @avnjl, the "Official Photographer" for the day..

#4. Marina Barrage outing with the bloggers

Thanks to Jiaqi, she managed to organize an outing for us to have fun and all at Marina Barrage, a place that I haven't been to. It's so awesome but the transportation to and fro that place is kinda crappy. :\ We had picnic, chocolate fondue, fruits, kite-flying and a mini celebration for Yingzi's 17th birthday!

#5. Yumcha session + K-Box + Dinner with poly clique

Along with Welmen and MJ, we went down to this place called Dragon Phoenix Chinese Restaurant or something, located at Liang Court.. It has a 50% off total bill for dim sum lunch. Crazy right?!? After that we went for K-Box at Chinatown 'cos of the S$8 thingy and after which we settled dinner at Mr. Curry at The Central. It was a simple outing and by the way, Mr. Curry is not about Indian food! :P It's Japanese curry on rice, super YUMMY!

#6. Helix Bridge outing with poly clique

This time the clique added Rachel and she wanted to go to the Helix Bridge, so we met up to have dinner at Suntec Astons before heading down to Helix Bridge with our drinks and snacks. Now we're gonna plan for another outing on the upcoming Tuesday.. :D

#7. Yet another trip to Kuala Lumpur, this time it's Sunway Pyramid/Lagoon!

Recently, I went down to Kuala Lumpur again! I went to Sunway Pyramid, a very big shopping centre and also Sunway Lagoon theme park, totally beats Singapore's ESCAPE theme park and Wild Wild Wet combined. LOL! :P This time, I took a plane to and fro through Tiger Airways with my Au'some love! Hahaha.

HELLO EVERYBODY !! :D

i know i've yet to blog properly and all . but i guess i shouldn't have much to blog also 'cos of my super duper mundane life . DAMNNN !! >: currently i'm working in Republic Polytechnic for IT Helpdesk to configure laptops and give them briefing for their upcoming school term . it sounds BORING right ?! but yet still i have so much fun thanks to the NYP people that are here , plus the fact that there are fun people at work like Michelle FPF and blah blah blah . :D

also , i've been in touch with DotA yet again .. i still remember in 2009 i totally stopped DotA thanks to FYP in year 3 semester 1 , and also even in year 3 semester 2 'cos of attachment and everything . my tight schedule for school allowed me not to be playing games so much and yet now i'm playing DotA back again in 2010 . HAHAHA !! guess the gaming blood is still in me .. <:

my work will end by the end of April '10 , and my graduation will be happening in May '10 . wonder when will be my National Service be though , hmmm . :O it would be practically a busy busy month for me in May 'cos i have to extend my passport and all the holidays i wanna take after my work and before i go into NS . :b

on a side note ; let me take your hand and run away .

新加坡e乐大赏 2010 at The Float @ Marina Bay!!

last Saturday , i went to this event called 新加坡e乐大赏 2010 or also known as the Singapore Entertainment Awards 2010 by OMY.sg . my ticket was bought in Nanyang Polytechnic by Matilda 'cos we're all kiasu people and it was my sister's birthday that day !! she is finally legally 18 to drink and all too , so that day was pretty much packed . met up with my sister Shukeng before meeting Matilda and Shixian ( Matilda's cousin ) and off we go to the 新加坡e乐大赏 2010 !!

initially i thought our seats were pretty much in front , until the person told us to go up further . but i guess it's worth the money 'cos we get to see a lot of stars and all !! there were a lot of performances by the various artistes who came down and with a blink of the eye , it struck midnight liao .. :O the main focus of it all would probably be SHINee !! i went home and went to find the 'Ring Ding Dong' MV and it's pretty damn ADDICTIVE , LOLOL .

we had our supper settled at Makansutra Gluttons Bay and sent Shixian off before going to The Patio at DXO , basically we had this tower of Strawberry Vodka . POWER !! we chatted through the night and even watched Hull City vs Arsenal . lastly i took the NR home . :D

Not So Secret Lives Season 2: Crossroads Contest

first , i shall start off introducing what's Not So Secret Lives and stuffs before touching into the details of the contest . :D Not So Secret Lives tells the story of 2 youths , Trey and Jesse . their story were portrayed through a series of blog entries by the 2 main characters and in season one , their good friends Cameron and Eleanor were dealt in a HIV scare .

now looking forward into Not So Secret Lives Season 2: Crossroads , we see the two protagonists Trey and Jesse thrust themselves into the mix . why is this so ? Trey got into trouble after a seemingly harmless boys' night out and there goes his relationship with Jesse as things slowly unfolds and how harmless fun can lead to harmful consequences .

as i took a look at Trey's first blog entry over at the Not So Secret Lives website , i knew he's gonna be in trouble already . with Trey's hangover happening and not remembering stuffs the previous night makes him dumbfounded which is totally shocking to hear . as i keep reading through his blog entries , everything unfolds itself into place just like a jigsaw puzzle forming its shape by itself .

the impact of clubbing and seemingly harmless fun is actually , very easy to decipher . once you have went over your limit in drinking , there goes your head . you will totally indulge into the blasting techno music , whatsoever and get wasted . to make things worst , Trey wakes up naked in a hotel room and there you go . -snap fingers-

moral of the story from me ; know your limit .

finally Mel is off to China for his study trip along with others in his cohort in Ngee Ann Polytechnic . D: i wonder how many people would actually make it to receive him from the airport leh , HAHAHA !! as for myself , i'm not even sure 'cos i would be working in Republic Polytechnic to help out as a IT helpdesk helper in configurating laptops and giving a very simple briefing on IT applications and stuffs !

thanks to Singapore Tourism Board and 24Seven , i got myself a chance to watch Chingay straight at F1 Pit building . how cool is that ?! :D so my ticket was in the 'Yellow Sector' and we're supposed to wear yellow [ which is written abruptly on the bottom right corner ] , i still see some people not wearing yellow ! :O decided to change seats with someone else and got myself comfortable viewing Chingay 2010 from a higher ground which i was happy for 'cos of the firecrackers which were totally !@#$ .

Chingay 2010 is divided into six segments with many acts in between . i won't go into detail but just the header and stuffs . every segment has its own floats and performance which was breath-taking enough . i realized watching Chingay on TV and being there 'live' was very much different so my impression changed attending it .

finally i'm all blogging again , the bug's back in action !! HAHAHA . so thanks to 24Seven and Health Promotion Board , i got invited to the special preview of Not So Secret Lives Season 2 a.k.a Crossroads . being an event held in Clarke Quay's one of the clubbing areas , the minimum age to enter is 18 ! luckily i didn't bring along Mel or Yingzi but instead i brought Dumbellz a.k.a Daniel , HA ! <: met Trixy and Daniel at Clarke Quay MRT before heading down to Liang Court for this , Mazazu Crepe .

i ordered some kinda Banana & Chocolate thingy .

we weren't the first there as there are others that reached earlier ! somehow the place reminds me of K Suite at Illuma . it was big and cosy and had a pool table too ! they started off with the introduction of the event , followed by Not So Secret Lives and some safe sex talk education by a doctor ( which i can't remember her name ) and even had a song played "live" by Adrian which i won't be able to reveal till 19th March 2010 !

my early CNY steamboat dinner with bloggers!

since Chinese New Year is approaching , where a time where people would feast into steamboat and yusheng , there was a happening day where all me and fellow bloggers got together for a steamboat + yusheng ! :D

Yingzi offered to open her place for us to crash into and we planned everything nicely and settled on a fine weekend but sadly some people didn't attend due to various reasons ! >: but still , it was a nice gathering as we haven't met up in a while and it was really SHIOK .

i met up with Jinglong and Angel early and waited for Josh and Yingzi to come over to Bedok Sheng Siong and begun our grocery shopping and hit a whooping S$88.00+/- receipt for all the stuffs . i can't remember the exact amount though !

a trip down to the cemetery for.. a picnic!

yes , i'm dead serious ! i went to the cemetery at Choa Chu Kang with various bloggers . they are Daniel a.k.a Dumbellz , Amanda a.k.a avnjl and lastly my bestie Yingzi niahaha . supposingly Eevon should come too but but but due to time constrain she had to leave early . thanks for the pies from The Pie Kia ! :D

we were all dressed down for this occasion and it was an impromptu decision to ask Yingzi along and since she's so interested so okay loh , HA ! travelling from Bedok to Choa Chu Kang and back seems to be a long ride , alone too . we took the bus 172 down and alighted somewhere i don't know where and used Amanda's GPS on her iPhone woo !! my Nokia 5800 Ovi Maps so unreliable , we walked the wrong direction in the first place !

we settled down after walking so much , munched on the potluck food , drank either green tea or lemon tea and chatted with one another ! it was a great day and knowing Daniel and Amanda much better too ! after it all , we headed back to Lot One to slack slack a bit before heading home , woo !!

YES !! my attachment is O-V-E-R . yet still i felt sad on the last day to leave my colleagues but happy at the same time 'cos i don't have to go attachment anymore . thanks to Team C colleagues , they planned a mini gathering at the pantry . it was also Clayton's and Khair's birthday , how cool was that ! but Khair wasn't there 'cos of some unknown reason . for four months i have been attached to NCS Bukit Batok and it was an extremely dull attachment by doing e-mails everyday ! luckily i was able to MSN and Twitter and yada yada if not i would have been bored to death . now i'm left with a final presentation coming next Wednesday and that's it .. it's over for real !!

my virgin visit to the Central Fire Station!

thanks to Kris and Diana , i got this special opportunity to visit the Central Fire Station with a bunch of bloggers . call me noob but i don't care , it was my first time there leh ! there's a lot of photos okay , snap snap snap till crazy !! anyways , i went with quite a big group too including Mel ! our tour guide is called Captain Tan , correct me if i'm wrong thanks !! LTA Foo was too busy with his presentation thus it was another person taking us !

first off , lets start off with the AMBULANCE ! there's actually an ambulance in a fire station that will be dispatched whenever there's a call , but i can't remember the number already ! cannot prank call okay , it is somewhat important for it to be dispatch when there's an emergency .

we were lucky enough to get ourselves right inside the ambulance ! there's this stretcher which is damn heavy to lift it back into the ambulance , needless to say pulling it out ! the equipment and everything are so complicated i dare not land my hand on it just in case anything happen , HAHA !

next , we are being introduced to the Pump Ladder ! before you start thinking , what the heck is a Pump Ladder .. the common term appropriately used would be fire engine . so why Pump Ladder ? this is because the vehicle is equipped with a DAMN HUGE PUMP and a LONG LONG LADDER combined which gives you .. yes , Pump Ladder !

there are various hoses in the PL of a wide range of sizes from big to small and one PL can store 2.4K liters of water ! that's enough to fight a fire for approximately 30~40 minutes and after that they would need a water hydrant .

we even got up close and personal to what they wear when firefighting !! oh gosh , when Mel wore it he said there is this burnt charcoal smell lah ! HAHAHA . but when he wore them on he does look pretty cool aye !

colors make a vast difference so that we are able to differentiate their ranks , yellow suit with white helmets are senior officers , black suit with orange stripes and orange helmet are junior officers , lastly black suit with grey stripes and orange helmet are recruits loh !

and with such high traffic of vehicles in Singapore , the fire bike and Fast Response Paramedic bike were introduced next ! they may look similar from afar but when you're just standing next to it you can easily identify their difference ! the fire bike has its own tank of 12 liters [ i think so ! ] on the back which is able to tahan 10~15 minutes of firefighting . the FRP on the other hand , has a very heavy paramedic supplies on the back to support casualties ASAP !

the coolest thing of all would be the sliding pole in the fire station itself ! they demonstrated by showing us the standard drop down and the picture you see below would be the Singapore Style ! there's also a Combined Platform Ladder on display and brings people up to have a view for free ! of 'cos , there would be a queue lah so we went to play with the water guns first .

here i got up close and personal with a firefighter fresh grad from National Service who got posted to SCDF and his name is Nazmi ! a shout-out to you Recruit Nazmi ; thanks for showing us how to use the water gun [ i have no better idea what is it called . ] and chatting with us about the Kallang River incident made us cringed but nonetheless it was a fruitful experience talking to a firefighter which is like younger than me by a year !

finally it was time to get on the Combined Platform Ladder which is like the grand highlight of everything , niahaha ! to be honest it wasn't really scary but there was one moment it shook because the person whom operated the machine turned its direction ! HAHAHA .

did i mention , if the fire alarm rings .. you have to stop whatever you are doing and CHIONGGG down to the PL and get off to action ! oh my .. and when i say stop whatever you are doing , includes your big big business in the toilet !

last but not least , we made a special request of having a firefighter to full gear , which means what they will normally wear when they fight a fire ! man .. imagine you have to change into full gear in a minute , quite impossible lorh !! this fireman took his time as it was just a demonstration but the real thing will be pretty damn different lah HAHAHA .

ending off with a group photo ! :3 after everything was done , i went to Lucky Plaza for lunch with Mel , Clara , Qiu Ting and Diana . delicious ayam penyet and sides and barley to go along , -nom nom nom- ! it was definitely a great morning ~ afternoon out with fun bloggers and meeting new bloggers too , heh !

following up with my last post revealing one of the lucky winners walking away with a smacking new MOTOROLA DEXT , here's my cover on the event itself ! :D

MOTOROLA DEXT is dubbed as the best next social networking phone ! equipped with Twitter and Facebook on-the-go , one of the new phones coming out this year a phone running on Android OS . i never had an impression the brand Motorola actually , this is my penultimate first .

and here is one of a representative of the staff demonstrating how the MOTOROLA DEXT phone works and everything , with a push of a button i can tweet and update my Facebook status . how cool that can be ?!

oh did i mention the MOTOROLA DEXT phone looks very similar to LG GW620 ?! holding the phone and how it looks on the outside , i could had easily mistaken it for the LG GW620 instead .

on Wednesday , i headed down to the chalet BBQ night along with Meldric , Ash , Josh , Jinglong , Kaizhi and Yingzi ! :D

so after attachment i went home to change and met Jinglong at Jurong East before heading down to Bedok's Sheng Siong to do some last minute shopping [ oops ! ] and waited for Ash to drive Kaizhi and Meldric down to fetch us and headed to the chalet ! seriously the GPS on the car is crap 'cos it gave dumb directions , as in giving you a longer route . ;O !

there you go ! and i have something to confess .. actually when i was still a lil' boy , i was very enthusiastic to be a POLICEMAN . HAHAHA ! well , i guess every boy would have a general mindset of being a policeman to catch bad guys so that they would all go into jail . MWAHAHA !

gradually when i grew up and even joined NPCC in secondary school and got myself into a Air Pistol Team where i earned medals for the first time in my life , i felt a sense of achievement . just in case you were wondering , i was in Swiss Cottage Secondary School and i always head to Home Team NS Bukit Batok for my trainings ! it was known as CDANS Bukit Batok back in my time !

after entering Republic Polytechnic , i wanted to pursue air pistol as a extra-curriculum but sadly there wasn't anything close . >: ! major sadness okay . so my spirit died off for NPCC / air pistol . but if you still have a raging spirit to be a policeman , work hard to be one ! :D home in on a career that makes a real difference when you put in 101% effort .

my thoughts after helping out at Republic Polytechnic's Open House 2010.

for the past two days if you have read my Twitter updates , i've been back at Republic Polytechnic for helping out at the Open House 2010 'cos the supervisor decided to pull us out of the attachment and gave us "free time back in school" , bwahaha !

i was stationed at the booth for Diploma in Business Information Systems to promote that particular course and engage people in a mix-and-match game and get free pens/whatever . by the way , what i'm taking in RP is not DBIS , instead i'm taking Diploma in IT Service Management . don't be mistaken ah !

i remembered i didn't even go for the Open House in 2007 . i remembered i didn't even go for the orientation too ! i never thought that i would be in Republic Polytechnic . i never thought that i would be studying for a diploma in Republic Polytechnic . but here i am , taking Diploma in IT Service Management and this is my last few weeks into ending attachment and gonna graduate liao loh ! :/

i bet Republic Polytechnic is still having a bad reputation so not much schools actually attended the Open House , besides what's there to see right ?? secondary school students whom joined the tour just walked past SIT [ by the way it's School of Information and Communications Technology ] just like that and didn't even bother to stop and think twice if they're gonna pursue a diploma here . gee ! >:

nevertheless it was still fun at the Open House with course-mates and taking time off attachment was such a relief , having Mac breakfast for Thursday and KFC breakfast for Friday .. mmm ~ ! it could never felt any better uhhs . after this attachment i would be having a final presentation in Feb and also an ITIL course to add on to my certificate , niahaha .

finally i get to go out with my ex-BPMN classmates yet again !! this time we decided to crash Party World with our voices and have another expensive dinner at Liang Court . :D met up with them at Clarke Quay MRT before walking over to Liang Court's Party World . i remember the sun was pretty damn HOT like crazy hor !!

we were greeted into a VERY VERY BIG room ! there were 8 of us but the room should be able to stuff at least 10~12 !! hahaha . very comfortable + there's this si beh BIG massage chair which is total shiokness !!

The Hangover got a fourth spot because i felt the comedy and everything was just right . 2012 comes in fifth in my ranking and they're even making a TV series for it ! hopefully it comes true .

outside the top 5 are The Twilight Saga: New Moon , (500) Days of Summer , Drag Me to Hell , Friday the 13th and Public Enemies . i still support Team Edward even though Jacob Black have a very very hot body but i don't approve Bella Swan with him , hiakhiakz . the two horror movies that managed to squeeze into the top 10 because they have the true horror element . lastly Public Enemies filling the last slot because Johnny Depp is hot , as ever .

really must thank Diana [ better known as molemole ! ] for this invitation and to my surprise Claudia was there too ! teehee . me and Meldric reached kinda late because we were doing some last minute shopping for our gift exchange [ hor hor !! ] and when we reached , i think Diana broke a glass leh !

my x'MaS eve was with parents and we had dinner at home . and no , i didn't had roasted turkey . instead , i had roasted duck ! :D my x'MaS eve was rather dull at home and i had my countdown on MSN or whatever whatever , ha !

my x'MaS day was at Stephen's place . :D read on to know more about my trip down to Ang Mo Kio !

i met Joyce Stella , Hongpeng , Josh , Hui Zax and Hongpeng's cousin at Ang Mo Kio MRT before meeting Joyce , Meldric and Andy . after which we also met Jiaqi and Kaixin before heading down to Stephen's place somewhere near the MRT station only ! Yingzi was late , and also Ash and his friends Jovian and Brandon .

we had this Indian food buffet at his place , playing games and had the gift exchange at the end of the night . we even blasted songs and was pretty loud . left his place and went over to Josh's with Yingzi and Meldric to drink and went home in the morning !

for the past week.. i caught THREE movies!

people would say that i am crazy , but i think it's okay as long the movie is acceptable to catch it ! <: so on 18 Dec i caught A Perfect Getaway , 20 Dec i caught Planet 51 and lastly on 22 Dec i caught Avatar *3D* .

so moving on , let me share with you all my thoughts on the various movies i've caught with different genre .

A Perfect Getaway - 4/5

all i know about A Perfect Getaway is about an island in Hawaii and there's 3 couples and on the island island itself there's 2 killers so i kinda liked how the movie brought me into it and showed me quite a lot of twist and turns in this movie .

the only actress i noticed would be Milla Jovovich from the Resident Evil series which depicts the low budget for the movie but with cheap thriller comes great entertainment value . so because of the entertainment value and the way Milla Jovovich acted , it's thumbs up !

Planet 51 - 3/5

i don't expect anything animated films , to me they are just humor and more humor but in this particular movie it doesn't really make me tingle to their jokes and it was quite alright only . it was rather smooth to watch as it was entertaining but it lacked the humor factor .

this movie left me a very deep impression not because it was the last movie i watched , but how the director really put in all his efforts and although it is highly intensive on the CGI and everything , i think it was done nicely as it is a fantasy world which brings us into a world that we would had never imagined but he [ James Cameron ] was able to portray the many different elements of the movie .

from the director that brought to us Terminator series and Aliens and Titanic , we would definitely expect something big from him and yes it did ! initially i didn't take notice of this movie because i wasn't really into James Cameron and the movie trailer didn't really interest me but but but in the end , i went to watch this movie in *3D* !

this is definitely MUST-WATCH movie because i was taken aback , totally . i was in awed from the start till the end . even though i have to bite my tongue and say that the highly intensive work on CGI but it's still fucking brilliant and i wouldn't think twice just to watch it second time in *3D* again .

i was invited by Joyce to attend this event by 24Seven and Mel brought Andy along ! i remember that particular day i headed down to 313 Somerset and went to the UNIQLO there which was very unique loh !

i queued to enter the massive giant shop of UNIQLO , queued to land myself into a fitting room which i had to take off my shoes before entering which was kinda weird and queued just to pay for a pair of jeans . HA ! the other things there didn't really catch my attention so i'd rather save my money .

after which i met Joyce at 313 Somerset and headed down to City Hall to meet up with Mel and Andy before heading down to Supperclub .

after reaching the place we had to somewhat register and pinned the red ribbon in support of the World AIDS Day and it was my first time there i was like WOAHHH , major eye opener at Supperclub . :B

the food was great because there's this buffet thingy going on and what's more is that the drinks are FREE FLOW , ha ! sadly , there's no alcohol but it's all cool with coke ! we were also given a really cute small t-shirt and we could design them in commemoration of the World AIDS Day . we went to Raffles City Shopping City to slack for awhile at J. CO Donuts & Coffee before crashing back home .

and Mike's proposal to Xiaxue was quite a stunner ! there was an weird advertisement on the screen and it turned out to be a clip of Mike's penning down something i couldn't remember , i only remembered the last part he said " i've found mine ! " which i presume is Xiaxue !!

at the same time Mike appeared somewhere at the corner of the movie theatre with a crew and surprised Xiaxue by kneeling down in front of everyone and went proposing to her and Xiaxue accepted him ! :D

third movie outing with ex-BPMN friends!

if i'm not wrong .. this marks the third movie outing ! the first movie was I Love You , Beth Cooper at GV VivoCity . the second movie was 2012 at The Cathay .

for this third movie is New Moon at Shaw Lido ! one day after the official release of New Moon in Singapore , my ex-BPMN classmates and myself decided to catch it ! i read the book during attachment and finished the book before it was screened so i know the story quite in-depth .

sadly to say , the movie only picked out major key plots in the book BUT it wasn't an entire letdown . i understand the hardness of adapting a book being transformed into a movie so i would not hold my hopes too high for the movie . :/

therefore my rating for this movie is ,

4.5/5

i'm rather , easy to please .

after work i went down to Breeks Cafe at Takashimaya to have dinner with the rest namely Welmen , Hakim , Chengxun , Eugene , Wendy , Rachel , Selina and MJ !

this is what i had , Chicken Pattie Melted . the mashed potato is really mashed to the extreme and i really love the meat , filling !

and the four guys [ myself + Eugene + Hakim + Welmen ] decided to share this Safari Feast which consisted of various side dishes like calamari rings and buffalo drumsticks and yada yada !

finishing off would be this penultimate Cookies & Cream milkshake , MAJOR YUMMZ for this !

before getting started , i would need to have a checklist for myself . in this checklist , it's the gear that a TRUE cowboy wears ! :B

heading down to a cattle drive , that's where we start to be a modern working cowboy ! ranching , is basically the practice of raising grazing livestock of cattle for meat so that it could be traded and sold in the economy .

and of 'cos , what is a TRUE cowboy without rodeoing ?!

hopefully by then i would thrown to the grown and get crushed by the hoofs of the horses yeah ?

and so , before the end of the day turns me back into a Singaporean , i have the last request of a shootout of me between a real TRUE cowboy .

and i went to SITEX 2009 yesterday with Hongpeng after my haircut appointment at Yio Chu Kang . it was horrendous . the MRT ride was such a killer because i had to fucking wait 6 minutes for the train at Tanah Merah MRT station . SMRT should really increase the frequency of trains lorh !

the public transport was already such a letdown , maybe i'm expecting more from it . and and and the place's worst . the food places were jam packed with people and i had to takeaway from Burger King and find somewhere secluded to enjoy my meal with Hongpeng . ugh ! D:

after walking around and looking around , went to Century Square at Tampines before heading home .

yesterday was the movie screening of Disney's A Christmas Carol by Nuffnang . somehow or rather it's a last minute thing that i decided to crash the movie screening and became Hongpeng's special invited guest , LMAO .

my phone dropped when i was gonna take the escalator up from Dhoby Ghaut MRT , irritated much luh ! D: luckily they were all there at the Nuffnang's reception table so it wasn't that bad .

there was Charlene , Charlene's friend , Wynn , Dawn , Ash , Ash's friend , Kaixiang , Kaizhi , Yingzi , Hongpeng , Yizhang , Joyce , Stephen , Stephen's friend . Wynn's friend didn't turn up because he/she got a leg injury so .. :O

alright , moving on to the movie itself i think it wasn't that bad but i nearly fell asleep at the latter stages of the movie . seriously speaking the pace of the movie takes off too slow and it's kinda draggy , for me that is . and pretty much the attachment took a toll on me and i'm seriously tired last night but i managed to survive through the movie .

Jim Carrey , a veteran comedian [ to me lah that is . ] was much of the voices in this movie and i felt he did a pretty good job . but to be honest at points of time in the movie i wonder is it me or what , i can't hear what they are mumbling about . HAHAHA . oops .

therefore , i'm giving it 3/5 rating !

and as usual , before we step into the cinema ! :D

the film which is based on the 2012 phenomenon brings us to a whole new level into looking forward how would the world would end . but of 'cos , all of this is just for Hollywood but would it really turn out that way when it really happens ?

Roland Emmerich , who has brought us ; The Day After Tomorrow , Godzilla , Independence Day , Stargate .. now has brought to us a new movie called 2012 , the end-of-the-world kinda movie .

i caught it last night and it was quite good in my perspective , obviously the funding into this movie have not been put to waste and almost every disastrous scene was breathtaking . although the storyline wasn't really emphasized on i still thought it was good , must be the CGI lah !

rating : 5/5

what's more , a TV series will be made based on this film , thus it will serve as sequel to the film . read it all here ! well , i'm looking forward to the TV series .

forgive me but i'm not fan of Astro Boy or whatsoever so it was a random decision to catch this movie since there was no available slots for Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs at AMK Hub Cathay . :3

it was usual for kids to be in the theatre since this movie is basically meant for kids and family but after watching it , i was quite impressed . having no high expectations for this movie , i went in to watch with zero prior knowledge [ thus the reason i'm using this poster instead . ] about Astro Boy and this movie blew me away , totally .

but wait , if you a die-hard fan of Astro Boy .. i guess you have to clear your mind about the original coming of Astro Boy but sit back and enjoy the movie , seriously .

firstly ..

welcome back to Singapore for Kaizhi !! :D that cockster , went Vietnam with his buddies but didn't manage to get himself a Vietnamese bride . HOW SAD IS THAT ?! never mind lah , he still has his Yingzi . :3 i heard he got himself a stomachache and was sick .. awww !!

and he brought these for me ! :D so sweet of him huh , actually all of us that were present were lucky . a pair of overpriced chopsticks and a bunch of Vietnamese sweets , hope i don't get stomachache after munching on them !

as much as you guessed it , Kaizhi and Yingzi the sweet lovey dovey + not forgetting violent couple .

and who were to fetch him back ?? Yingzi , Qianyi , Don , Nath & myself !

it was time to leave and i went over to Yingzi's place before heading to Joyce's place for Halloween '09 . i was quite particular about my face and Joyce did a wonderful job to make it really outstanding and scary enough ! :D if you have my Facebook , you CONFIRM see before already ..

and yes , that's me in contact lens ! :B i decided to try out contact lens since it's Halloween and it was quite a bummer wearing it on my own . i had the privilege of having 2 girls to help me put on my contacts leh , jealous or what lah siol !

thanks to Qianyi and Yingzi , they managed to thrust the contact lens into my eyes and making my night possible without wearing spectacles . and oh , i managed to take out at home myself !

i wanna thank Limei for the opportunity of bringing me along to the star-studded event which is none other than the Nuffnang Asia-Pacific Blog Awards 2009 ! :B

i remembered i took a bus down initially but i felt it was too freaking slow so i decided to change to the MRT instead and i'm glad i did the right move ! >: if not i wouldn't even wanna think about reaching there on time , geez .

met up with Eleanor , Joyce , Limei , Joan & Meldric at the Pan Pacific Hotel lobby . followed by Chloe , Cheryl & Yingzi . continued to hunt down the rest like Hongpeng , Stephen , Cedric , Don & Qianyi .

there was a speech giving by Boss Ming & Boss Stewie ~ Co-Founders of Nuffnang and a short video clip of them growing ever since the birth of Nuffnang ! there was even a magic performance by JC Sum & 'Magic Babe' Ning and a local pop rock band none other than Electrico ! i can tell you Stephen & Cedric were quite HOOHAA over them . :3

here's what we had over at the Pacific Ballroom over a 4-course dinner . be prepared for long names and try rapping them ! LOL .

for the past 4 days i've been attached to NCS @ Bukit Batok for attachment and having my training courses ! :D

first , i had this course on call management skills on Tuesday .

second , i had this course on email writing skills yesterday .

last but not least , i had this course on troubleshooting via phone today .

and also , it's confirmed i would be there until the end of January 2010 , super duper happy lah ! it takes me around 15 minutes to walk there and i'm so looking forward to my attachment pretty much when it really starts for working in NCS @ Bukit Batok . not forgetting i would be working with my coursemates like Chee Chong , Mei Yu , Marcus , Sebastien and Qi Yang . well i hope everything turns out fine for the rest also huh !

today i was having my lunch at McDonald's and there were a lot of secondary school students . goodness . it felt so weird because we were in formal wear and you know lah .. been there , done that . haha ! we also felt old at some point , gee . but i guess that's life , you grow up someday .

P/S ; i think i look like some rich CEO earning big bucks in my formal wear , no kidding !

OKAYYY , shall start off with why i think Singapore is the best holiday destination first ! well , to me i think Singapore is the best holiday destination BECAUSEEE it's not like other countries where there are chances of having natural disasters like tornadoes , earthquakes , volcanic eruptions and etc .

it's safe to be in Singapore and the probability of having a terrorist attack is like what , 0.01% ? you can be assured that you won't be bombed while shopping at your favorite shopping palace ! HAHA . besides that , Singapore is just a little red dot on the world globe yet there's so much to enjoy about in this fun South East Asia country from day to night !

i am a Singaporean , and i'm proud to be one too ! i love the food , the culture and everything under the sun ! the food from different races , the culture from different races .. that's what makes us Singaporeans and making Singapore unique ! after so much explanation about Singapore as your one and only holiday destination , don't hesitate already and fly to Singapore already !

planning something for people isn't easy , especially when you have to do it yourself !

early morning i would drag my friend down to Suntec City for the Joaquim Buffet Restaurant to indulge the Porridge Buffet Lunch which starts around 11AM and have a whacking good feast before heading for ..

HISTORICAL KNOWLEDGE !

a ride on the DUCKtours !

being both a bus and a boat , it would be a ride on an authentic Vietnam warcraft for 60 minutes of amphibious touring adventure on both land and sea ! after which , it's time for the Heritage HiPPOtours which will showcase the major heritage sights in Singapore ! indulge into the past of Chinatown , Kampong Glam , Little India and historical civic district !

after so much of historical knowledge , it would be time for ..

SHOPPING !

be spoilt for choice !

start off our trip at Far East Plaza for clothes and accessories ..

to ION Orchard , the newest shopping mall located at Orchard .

down the road there's Wisma Atria and it's a total shopping paradise !

lastly , not forgetting The Heeren Shops too !

getting tired already ?

head down to Takashimaya basement at Ngee Ann City to devour finger food and fill up those rumbling stomachs !

and if you think the day's over , now here comes the night !

time to perk yourself awake first , indulge into coffee at either Coffee Club beside Wheelock Place or Gloria Jean's Coffees beside Orchard Cineleisure !

moving ahead of schedule , it's time to head down to the current World's and Asia's tallest Ferris wheel ! yes .. finally for ~

it's time to eat eat eat again ! i can never get enough of eating and my friend will be so FAT after the trip with me !

after this week ends , i would be going to NCS for my attachment until next year [ which is probably the end of January ] ! can't believe myself , i would be not going back to Republic Polytechnic for my usual studies and everything . well , i'm feeling somewhat excited and nervous in between .

i've yet to know what will i be doing there so there's not much to say actually . i would know when the time comes and hopefully it will be a smooth journey ahead at NCS . moreover , i'm heading there with a wacky bunch of fun people ! actually i would rather want to be just be in a pair or something , just a personal thought .

the friends i've made in RP , stay in touch yo ! :B

going to NCS for my attachment naturally means less blogging and less free time , i would be soon converting to the life of a "working adult" already . mind you , i'm only 20 ! i'm still not ready yet because i've yet to go for my National Service , hahaha .

yay ! i managed to go K1 Go-Karting at West Coast a few weeks ago and it totally rocked , except the part the small boy complained us and poor Mel cannot play already , HAHA . he even called us " bitches " and walked past us while crushing a bottle , whaddafishballz .

met up with Hongpeng , Yizhang and Kaixiang at Jurong East to eat first before Qianyi , Don and Joyce joined us and left for the bus ! waited for Mel at the bus stop because he came from Jurong West .

moving on from my previous entry about attending Formula 1 Singapore GP , i also attended the first day of F1 Rocks with LG ! thanks to 24seven , i got the opportunity to see 大嘴巴 , 蘇打綠 , 阿妹 and 张学友 up close with Mel .

we stood for more than 8 hours ! in fact , probably more than that because i met Mel for lunch at Plaza Singapura before heading down to Fort Canning Park to find ourselves in a queue and it was horridly hot . and i was lucky enough to catch a last bus home and i skipped class the next day , kudos to myself !

lastly , 张学友 was last and we waited quite long for him because of technical issues almost everywhere . D: goodness . but it was still enjoyable .

and 阿妹 came out for an encore with 张学友 which totally rocked the stage and it ended with all of them on the stage to sing "Heal the World" to commemorate MJ's death .

i know this is pretty late , but who cares ?

i must really thank Rachel because it's a rare opportunity that i would be able to experience F1 cars zooming past my eyes and the feeling was incredible . let's not talk about the overrated food and drinks being sold there , but i definitely enjoyed myself savoring into the tension and everything watching the Singapore GP from the Bay Grandstand .

'nuff said , pictures do the talking !

there was a Ferrari-related event at Marina Square ,

with Rachel , Pin Pin and her friend .

i was reluctant to buy the earplugs actually , luckily i did !

the sight was , magnificent .

if you were expecting pictures of the cars zooming past , wait long long ! my camera wasn't that top quality cliche anyways , so i just had to lay back and enjoy the race !

my friend who was working at F1 Singapore GP , there was another but i didn't got the chance to find her .

when the race finished , they allowed the crowd to walk on the tracks !

Surrogates - my movie review!

the usual people i hang out with + Boss Ming ! :D

anyways , i got the chance to watch Surrogates by Nuffnang but in return , i'll have to hand up a movie review on it . sounds like a school assignment given to you and having to hand up before your dateline hor . in any case , here's my movie review on Surrogates starring Bruce Willis .

a brief summary ;

set in 2017 , the creation of remotely-controlled robotic bodies that serve as a "Surrogate" , designed to be better-looking of the human beings and for them they would be safe all the time as the damage being done to a "Surrogate" is not felt by the human being owner .

when a murder is being done to "Surrogate" which causes death to the human operator , Tom Greer [ Bruce Willis ] as a FBI agent investigates the case as it turns out to be a very complicated matter regarding different people and have to abandon his "Surrogate" to unravel the mystery of the deaths of "Surrogate" which directly caused the human operator to die .

after watching this movie Surrogates , i was pretty amused at the ending actually . i didn't expect the ending to be like that . in a way touching but it lacks aftermath , what about the people in the Dread Reservation ?

the twist and turns in the movie gave me a headache , zomfg . but it was quite a surprise , trust me .

i don't expect much from a sci-fi movie but hey , this movie was pretty damn good as the plot was written quite superbly. there was so much action and everything falls into place nicely yet messy in a way . i didn't watch the trailer because i wasn't much of a fan for Bruce Willis but what the heck , this movie is to die for because it's pure entertainment and robots and more robots .

okay c'mon , bottom line , grab your popcorn and drinks and catch this movie !

it seems that Kimi Räikkönen would be joining McLaren for the next season of Formula 1 , oh my gawd ! :D they ruled out the move for Williams' Nico Rosberg , who has agreed to drive for Brawn in 2010 .

during the last week of the Chinese 7th month i went along for a paranormal tour organized by 24seven and API . i decided to drag Qianyi and Meldric along because i didn't want to go alone , LOL . i got the chance to see Trixy for the first time but i didn't really recognize her , even when we are at the MRT station !

first trip ; a walk into Village of the Dead at Bukit Brown Cemetery .

second trip ; trying to experience the scariest place in Singapore , Old Changi Hospital .

third trip ; understanding the history behind Lim Chu Kang cemetery .

there was a coach to bring us to our destinations and we were right at the back ! we were given torchlight and i remembered Qianyi got freaked out when got up the bus because there was someone in a mask or something , ha !

if you were wondering where's my first trip photos , i was too SCARED to take them ! decided to drop my balls and forget about taking photos . i was frightened when an API staff was hiding somewhere in the forest and shocked us ! classic moment , goodness .

the second trip is heading to Old Changi Hospital ! :D

look at badly vandalized place .

we were being enclosed [ somehow or rather ] in a circle of some type of flour which i didn't really get to know of . at four points ; there was a light switch , offerings for the spirits , an electronic device to detect EMP frequency , some communication device .

we decided to be playful and take photos around OCH ! this was at the back and front of OCH .

heading down a flight of stairs turned out to be quiet a nightmare because there was a pungent smell but i couldn't smell anything .

our last trip to Lim Chu Kang cemetery was quite of a short experience , didn't really get a chance to wander off . they were all talking about homeless children and how their graves were being made and numbers were even imprinted on the top of their tombstone .

after everything ended , we were greeted to cupcakes given out ! YAY . and from Newton we walked to Cathay Cineleisure for Xin Wang Hong Kong Cafe for late night supper before slacking waiting for the first train home !

previously i said i was attending tomorrow's F1 Rocks Singapore with LG Day 1 where stars like 张惠妹 + 张学友 will be attending the event , power lah ! so i've to attend this F1 Rocks bloggers' stage tour where we would be brought around the area at Fort Canning Park to see many would actually die for [ actually , i don't know ] . so let me fill you through this trip i went for yesterday along with Rachel , MJ and Mel !

climbing up the stairs at Fort Canning Park wasn't my forte , initially it was quite alright but as time dragged past i sweat already .

this would be the general admission area and the gate of Fort Canning with its historical story behind it .

i forgot where this is , but heck . there is a container filled with Red Bull and Heineken for crazy people !

at the Fort Canning Centre , lies the V.I.P area and the panoramic view of the stage from the balcony , which was pretty cool !

the super posh area and the stage is freaking BIG ! bigger than the one as compared to Lady Gaga , that's what Rachel said .

we were also brought into the dressing rooms for various artistes and we were awed by Beyonce's special request for a particular sofa !

last but not least , the area where the artistes would be waiting to get on the stage and the view from the stage to look out to the Fort Canning Centre is spectacular .

after class , i went out with my previous semester BPMN class with a bunch of crazy people organized by MJ [ my sister ! ] , to VivoCity and caught I Love You , Beth Cooper and had a great laugh . followed by a dinner at Earle Swensen's which wasn't really totally to die for , ugh !

anyways , i was quite early to reach so i was on the phone with Limei before the rest came . to my surprise there were 5 guys and 5 girls evenly ! quite cool ah . Hakim , Chengxun , Eugene , Welmen and myself were the guys there and MJ , Wendy , Cynthia , Selina and Rachel were the girls there !

we were early and we didn't know where to go for our group photos so we ended up walking around VivoCity and settled down at the entrance which turned out to be not bad ! ha ha .

oh yeah , we caught I Love You , Beth Cooper without Hakim because he had work to do before rushing down for dinner with us . we had a hard time deciding which place to have our stomachs filled and finally we headed to Earle Swensen's as our destination . frankly i wasn't appealed by their service which was quite a turn off . i swear on my balls i won't ever ever head there again unless necessary .

turn off 1 : before even stepping into the restaurant , this guy had this look that didn't want us to be in the restaurant and i still remember that guy's face ! malay guy short hair with spectacles , lousy attitude . ugh !

turn off 2 : i didn't expect him [ yes , that same fucking guy . ] to ask us to make payment before finishing our food . it's not like we would run away right ? besides that , he literally stood there waiting for us to pass him the money when we are like calculating the cost and everything to split between ourselves . don't he just have the intention to leave us alone ? ugh !

okay , like so whatever . i had this double cheeseburger off the menu and a cup of mango with banana juice or something , can't remember . the food was filling actually , i got pretty damn full after that but it's holy costly ! $_$

before we left home we decided to take photos again ! LOL . and yes , i would definitely want to head out with them soon !

it was such a surprise that i got invited to my secondary school friend , Yiling's baby 1st month , at the same time it was nice because i haven't got the time to hang out with my secondary school friends as much as in the past . it was a pleasure meet up with them and definitely more to come , hopefully .

let's get started with the first question where everyone would like to know what is my opinion of the biggest turn off during a date . but check out what i think are turn offs during a date , shall we ? :D

being late and finding excuses to cover it up .
procrastinating about her own figure and everything .
yakking on and on about past relationships when it's already over .
doesn't pay attention to you but other guys around .
getting her fingers on the keypad of the phone , as if she's playing DJ Max !
having the guy to keep initiating the conversation .
having no sense of manners / table etiquette , ugh .
wrong fashion sense and dressing is off the track .
no sense of humor , unable to take jokes .

need me to say more ? but i guess that's about it . those in bold means i've encountered such experience before ! hmm , as for the biggest turn off during a date i guess it would be harping on past relationships . i don't think i'll be able to survive through a date where the girl just wants to vent her troubled past relationships to me and i'll be like , " UGH , enough is enough . give me a break ! " ~

next , why do i want to watch this movie ? well i guess this movie is quite comparable to The Proposal in terms of genre and there are some big names behind this movie like director Robert Luketic behind 21 and Gerard Butler behind 300 , P.S. I Love You and Rock'n'Rolla .

i would also like to know how would this movie end , i mean would Katherine Hiegl and Gerard Butler got together in the movie or there's a twist in it ? the trailer seems promising anyways !

and of course , who could have resisted the beauty of Katherine Hiegl . :B
